What is better tablets or syrup?

Erespal tablets are prescribed to adult patients. Dosage 80 mg fenspiride. Children should absolutely not take this medicine in tablet form. The manufacturer insists on this. Prescribed tablets for respiratory diseases - inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, rhinitis, inflammation of the nasopharynx, rhinotrancheobronchitis, bronchitis, including with obstruction. It can be prescribed as an auxiliary therapy for otitis media. To relieve symptoms of whooping cough, measles, and flu.

For children, a French company produces it in the form of syrup. 100 ml of syrup contains 200 mg of the active ingredient fenspiride. The manufacturer took care of children with allergies, since the syrup does not contain dyes, to which allergic reactions so often occur in young patients. The syrup copes very well with bronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, relieving obstruction. An anti-inflammatory effect is also observed in otitis media. A slight antipyretic effect will help with a slight increase in temperature and will work as an adjunct to antipyretic drugs.

The syrup has a sickly sweet-bitter taste and is not very popular with children, but if you offer it with water or juice, the problem with taking the medicine can be solved. The not very pleasant taste is fully compensated by the therapeutic effect of Erespal - both the tablets and syrup begin to work thirty minutes after administration, and after repeated administration, you can notice a decrease in broncho-obstructive phenomena and a general relief of the condition. The question often arises: is it possible to replace antibiotic therapy with Erespal? No you can not. Although it helps relieve inflammation, it does not fight bacterial strains, so treatment with antibiotics is also possible if necessary.

Servier Erespal tablets for cough

Good afternoon friends! Unfortunately, it is impossible to give a MINUS to this product on the website, which is a pity!

I'll start from the very beginning. In January of this year I got sick. Started coughing. Dry cough. It wasn’t even exhausting, but it was unpleasant. that it never ends. I was going through. I went to the doctor, he prescribed me light medications, which did not help me at all (Ingavirin, Rengalin) after a week of taking them. The cough continued, and I went to another doctor, he prescribed me...ERESPAL tablets. At the pharmacy I purchased an analogue of Erespal - EPISTAT (GEDEON RICHTER).

The active ingredient of both Erespal and Epistat is FENSPIRIDA HYDROCHLORIDE. What kind of animal this was, I didn’t know, of course. Started drinking. On the very first day of treatment, the cough stopped, it didn’t exist for a couple of days, then it started again, just as dry as it was BEFORE. But somewhere on the second day side effects began:

weakness. No not like this. TERRIBLE weakness; began to see double before my eyes; I could barely sit at work until the evening, letters jumped before my eyes; disorientation. I was experiencing everything; rapid heartbeat, tachycardia); upset stomach the entire time I was taking the medicine.

It lasted me for 5 days (although according to reviews here, it turns out that I was also WOW! Some felt sick even from the 1st tablet).

The cough did not go away completely. I went to the 3rd doctor - a pulmonologist. Yes, I must say that I had a fluorogram immediately during my first visit to the doctor. Everything was fine. The pulmonologist also told me that everything is normal, but you can take ERESPAL, so to speak, to SENSE the result. Ok, just tell me! I decided that I made a mistake by buying an analogue for the first time, and that now I would buy a REAL ERESPAL made in France - the SERVIER company. Another 369 rubles.

I bought it. I had enough for exactly 3 tablets, that is, one in the evening, the second in the morning of the next day and the third in the afternoon. Everything is as intended. In the evening I BARELY CRAGGED home. I literally fell down the wall when I entered the hallway of the apartment. The weakness was such that I could probably fall asleep on the move. I took my temperature - 35.6, my blood pressure dropped. Around 19:30 I already went to bed, and I don’t even know when my child fell asleep.

But these were FLOWERS!

The next day in the evening I had the first PANIC ATTACK in my life! I thought I was dying. I called an ambulance. I couldn’t breathe, fear of death, fear of suffocation. The ambulance arrived, took my blood pressure, listened to my heart and lungs, gave me phenozepam and left, saying it was just a PANIC ATTACK. Simple, yes. But I NEVER HAD THIS! I began to suspect that this happened while taking ERESPALA. By morning everything was gone, I was back to normal. But the words of the pulmonologist still stuck in my head, namely, that I need to drink Erespal. The fact is that I had problems with my lungs for a long time, and I was afraid of a recurrence. The cough still occurred. I WOULD STOP, but no.

It took me a week to decide, and yet I decided that I probably should have initially bought Erespal’s children’s form - in SYRUP. What a fool! I bought it. And she started drinking. The taste is disgusting, my tooth even started to hurt, it’s so sweet. But I drank, and it seemed to me that everything was fine this time. Yes. But on the fourth day of the appointment, in the evening I went to the store, and then I had a SECOND PANIC ATTACK. I almost fell on the street. Fear simply gripped me, I couldn’t walk, I barely got home, I couldn’t breathe, I could barely cope, I drank Corvalol, not right away, but I managed to calm down. For some reason I didn’t connect this at all with Erespal, because I took it for 4 days and everything was fine. I drank it both at night and in the morning. My God! The next day I could barely finish the rest of the day. I couldn’t breathe all day, the fear of suffocation, the fear AT ALL completely shackled me. I wrote to a friend and she asked what medicine I was taking. I answered. She told me to quit IMMEDIATELY! She also felt very bad from Erespal! As a result, I drank activated carbon. More in the evening. Unfortunately, this time it didn’t end so easily! I was sick for a WEEK! A WEEK, just think! I felt bad, I had never experienced such fears, although by nature I am a hardy person and not hysterical. It was hard for me to breathe, it got to the point where I was afraid to fall asleep, afraid to suffocate, afraid to go outside without validol. I suffered for four days. On the fifth day I went to the doctor with a complaint that I was suffocating and that something was wrong with me. I did an ultrasound of the thyroid gland, an ECG, and passed basic tests and hormonal tests. EVERYTHING IS OKAY!

Today is the first day that I woke up in the morning in a more or less NORMAL CONDITION!

Now I'm afraid to take medications AT ALL.

As for the drug ERESPAL... I started Googling and found many forums “dedicated” to this wonderful remedy! I'm not the only one, as it turns out. a lot of people experience similar side effects. It’s just that for some they are less pronounced and last less. But in most cases it is:

tachycardia; fears, depression; confusion, etc.

The drug is experimental and has not been fully studied. Even in Wikipedia, in the article on PANIC ATTACKS, only one drug that causes these same PAs is given as an example. Guess which one (excerpt from an article on WIKIPEDIA PANIC ATTACKS):

Panic attacks can be symptoms of pheochromocytoma, somatoform dysfunctions, phobias, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, endocrinological diseases, heart diseases, mitochondrial diseases, etc. Or they can occur as a result of taking any medications (for example, Erespal).

This is what happened to me, my friends. I'm still in shock. Moreover, in the forums I saw messages that this drug has such a detrimental effect not only on women, for example, but also on healthy men and athletes.

I hope that every day I will get better. I also hope that my review will help someone make the right decision and perhaps he will NOT buy this crap ERESPAL, but will make do with other, less harsh cough medications. I really regret that I took these pills (and syrup) at all.

HEALTH to everyone!
