Analogues of the drug

There are no completely similar medicines, but they are approximately identical in pharmacological action.

Below are the best of them.

  • Boromenthol is the cheapest analogue of Sinuforte. This medicine is presented as an ointment that is applied to the nose with a cotton swab. Has an analgesic and antiseptic effect.
  • Nasodren is the closest drug in composition and structure to this one. It works slightly worse than Sinuforte, but is quite effective.
  • Gaymorin is a fairly effective analogue, which is a homeopathic medicine. It has an identical pharmacological effect and is quite accessible to everyone.
  • Sinus-Lift - has a more restorative effect on the mucous membrane, but also combines the properties of Sinuforte. Albeit to a lesser extent, but it can replace the above drug.

There are actually a huge number of analogues, but they all act slightly differently than Sinuforte, so it is advisable to take the original.

pharmachologic effect

Sinuforte is a herbal preparation that is used for the local treatment of diseases of the sinuses and nasal appendages. Once on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, the drug components increase the secretion of the entire mucous membrane of the nasal passage.

The response of the mucous membrane to the medicine is immediate and lasts about an hour. Immediately after using the product, abundant secretion of the nasal mucosa begins with pronounced clots of pus and thick opaque mucous discharge.

After using Sinuforte, there is a cleansing and a significant decrease in the viscosity of mucous secretions.

The drug has a local decongestant effect, which improves respiratory function through the nose. Thanks to the synergy of stimulating secretion and anti-edematous action, the drug leads to the expansion of natural anastomoses between the nasal cavity and its appendages. As a result, all sinuses are moistened and their ventilation improves.

A special feature of Sinuforte is the absence of residual irritating effects. The drug does not have a systemic effect on the body. The active substances in the blood plasma cannot be detected, as well as their presence in the organs. Thus, the pharmacokinetics of the drug is currently difficult and has not actually been established.

Analogs and substitutes for Sinuforte

There is a lot of talk about the benefits of Sinuforte in the treatment of sinusitis, but besides this, people are also interested in analogues and substitutes for this medicine.

Why? First of all, because this is a fairly expensive product that not everyone can afford.

I would like to achieve the same effects (that is, to cope with inflammation as quickly as possible), while resorting to more affordable treatment options.

But can the proposed drugs really replace such a super effective remedy as Sinuforte? This is worth talking about in more detail.

Sometimes Sinuforte is not “affordable”, and then you need to replace it with something

Sinuforte: what is it?

It’s worth talking a little about Sinufort itself before considering its possible analogues and substitutes.

It should be noted the individuality of its impact:

  • For some people, the medicine actually helps relieve inflammation, normalize breathing and improve well-being;
  • for others it has no effect;
  • Still others may begin to feel worse after taking the drug.

So you should also ask your doctor:

  • Should you be treated with this remedy?
  • are there any contraindications to it;
  • what dosage is needed?

The main components of this medicine are:

  • lyophilisate;
  • extract from cyclamen tubers.

The fact that cyclamen treats sinusitis has been known for a long time. Sinusitis begins when the mucous membrane in the nasal sinus swells, air exchange is disrupted, and mucus accumulates and thickens inside. The saponins contained in cyclamen help to liquefy the contents, increasing their outflow and thus clearing the sinuses.

Immediately after the patient has taken the drug, he may:

  • short-term lacrimation begins;
  • get a headache;
  • develop sneezing.

However, all this soon passes.

If shortness of breath begins, you need to stop taking the medicine

You should stop using the medicine if:

  • the mucous membrane swells even more;
  • irritation appears on the skin;
  • shortness of breath began.

The use of the described drug is contraindicated for pregnant women, as well as young mothers during lactation. Children under 12 years of age are also not recommended.

Main analogues

And now we should consider analogues of Sinuforte, that is, those drugs that - ideally - are approximately similar in composition and have a similar effect on the human body. Certain concentration-related variations in composition are, of course, allowed.

Perhaps one of the most well-known analogues of this product, which may be in your pharmacy, is Nasodren. According to experts, there is no particular difference between this product and Sinuforte. It's just a different name.

But the cost of Nasodren turns out to be noticeably lower. True, problems may arise with finding this drug (it is not available in every pharmacy and often you simply have to order it).

Sometimes the remedies offer a medicine called Healer instead. Its manufacturer is Green-Visa. The main component of the composition is an extract made from cyclamen. Among other useful ingredients, it is worth noting chamomile, agave, propolis, St. John's wort and the like.

Nasodren, alas, is not always possible to find in pharmacies

And the function of this drug is approximately the same - to help a person cope with inflammation of the nasal cavity.

Sinupret

When turning to cheap analogues of Sinuforte, you should understand that you should not expect complete identical actions. Most often, the replacement of the drug is carried out in one area - for example, it is also possible to relieve inflammation or make breathing easier.

In addition, side effects are possible. In addition, special attention should be paid to possible contraindications, which Sinuforte may not have. Their presence in other drugs cannot be excluded.

Sinupret treats inflammation of the maxillary sinuses and other sinusitis. However, its main active ingredient is not cyclamen at all, but substances such as:

  • gentian root;
  • sorrel;
  • primrose flowers, as well as verbena.

We recommend reading: Antibiotics for sinusitis in children

Accordingly, it acts somewhat differently. It must be said that Sinuforte is more effective in helping to unblock the maxillary sinuses. According to doctors, thanks to its use, it was possible to achieve a sharp reduction in the number of surgical interventions.

Sinupret is considered one of the main substitutes for Sinuforte

However, Sinupret is not necessarily used in combination with other medications, while still performing a therapeutic function. When asked what analogues and substitutes for Sinuforte can be offered that will be cheaper and that will help with the chronic form of the disease, we can safely recommend Sinupret.

Gaymorin

Another substitute is Gaymorin, the composition of which is presented:

  • silicea (rock crystal is its second name);
  • thuja;
  • potassium dichromate;
  • sepia (made from ink secreted by cuttlefish).

This remedy can help with acute and chronic forms of the disease. The medicine, by the way, is actively used in homeopathy - especially in the treatment of “female” diseases.

What can replace the described medicine? Sinusitis and other inflammations of the sinuses can be treated using vasoconstrictors, combining them with antihistamines.

Sinusitis is used for acute and chronic forms of sinusitis

Other analogues

A good substitute can be a medicine called “Vibrocil”, the main effect of which is vasoconstrictor.

The drug Boromental is produced in the form of an ointment used intranasally (cotton sticks are moistened into it, which are then inserted into the nostrils). The medicine is relatively inexpensive, but allows you to achieve amazing results with a minimum of side effects.

Finally, why not just buy cyclamen extract (available in almost all pharmacies). Even Pinosol drops, which are based on plants, help to recover from inflammation of the maxillary sinuses.

Domestic substitutes

If we talk about domestic substitutes, that is, about analogues of Sinuforte manufactured in Russia, first of all, it is necessary to remember Dolphin. Both users and medical professionals speak very positively about it, noting its reliability and particular effectiveness.

Dolphin is traditionally used to rinse the nose. Its cost is quite affordable. All its components are of natural origin. At the same time, there are no allergens and substances perceived by the body as foreign.

Some of its most useful components are extracts made from rose hips and licorice. Thanks to them:

  • the therapeutic properties of the drug are significantly improved;
  • the anti-inflammatory effect is significantly enhanced;
  • immunity is strengthened.

Dolphin is one of the main domestic substitutes for Sinuforte

As for the mineral base, it is represented primarily by sea salt, which, in turn, contains potassium chloride and iodine. Such components, in fact, provide the antiseptic effect of the drug.

In addition, the functions of iodine are associated with:

  • acceleration of mucus secretion;
  • preventing the formation of crusts;
  • moisturizing the mucous membrane.

Zinc helps the body produce lysozyme, as well as interferon, as a result of which the immune system is strengthened.

And magnesium salts help restore the protective functionality of the ciliated epithelium of the nasal cavity. Approximately the same salt concentration is observed in human blood. Thanks to this, the mucous membrane does not swell during rinsing and there are no unpleasant sensations.

Dolphin, as a substitute for Sinuforte, is considered a proven drug. In the absence of contraindications, it is prescribed even to pregnant women, as well as women during lactation.

Among other things, it is actively used for preventive purposes when a person has contracted an acute viral infection and there is a real danger of it turning into an inflammatory process in the maxillary sinuses.

This drug is also used before performing a sinus puncture (as preparation for the procedure) or after such an operation has been performed (even if the surgical intervention was not associated with clearing the sinus of pus, but with the removal of adenoids or polyps).

We recommend reading: Amoxicillin for sinusitis

How to use?

In order to correctly use this drug, which is similar in action to Sinuforte, a special device has been added to the Dolphin kit.

The drug Dolphin is used to rinse the sinuses

The solution itself is heated to 35 degrees. It must not turn out to be excessively cold or hot, otherwise:

  • the efficiency of washing will decrease because of this;
  • very unpleasant sensations will arise;
  • there may be complications.

The freshness of the solution is also important - it should never be reused.

The nasal cavities are washed alternately. Moreover, the infusion of the drug should not be overly active and fast, otherwise the nose will be injured. It is advisable not to swallow the solution.

You should be prepared for the fact that after the procedure is completed, the discharge of fluid from the nostrils continues for some time.

About contraindications

As for contraindications to the use of this analogue, they may be as follows:

  • complete nasal congestion;
  • tumor formations in the cavity;
  • otitis;
  • regular nosebleeds;
  • deformations and defects, such as a deviated septum;
  • allergy to the components that are included in the composition.

This drug is also not prescribed to children under four years of age.

Cyclamen

Since the main component of Sinuforte is cyclamen, why not purchase an extract made from the root of this plant (or the root itself) at the pharmacy and make a suitable remedy yourself?

For example, you can make medicinal drops:

  • First, the tubers are crushed (a blender is used for this);
  • the pulp is squeezed out;
  • the resulting juice is diluted with water (one to ten).

The resulting medicine must be stored in the refrigerator. The medicine is taken in the morning (the nose is usually the most stuffy during this period).

After the procedure, warm tea is recommended, to which lemon and honey are added.

A positive result is not always observed immediately. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of days. You should be prepared for the following:

  • sweating will increase;
  • a cough will begin;
  • the fever will begin to torment;
  • the nasal cavity will begin to hurt.

Whatever medicine you choose, you can expect positive results not immediately, but after completing the treatment course

So, if necessary, Sinuforte can always be replaced. You should not be too upset if the doctor prescribed this particular remedy, but there is not enough money to purchase it (or for some reason it is not in the pharmacy). True, ideally, the use of an analogue should still be discussed with a medical specialist.

Cheap analogues of Sinuforte - list with prices, comparison

Sinuforte is a drug for intranasal use. It is produced in the form of a lyophilisate from which a solution is prepared. The drug is created on a plant basis (cyclamen). Sinuforte 0.05 bottle. lyophil. d/r-ra + solvent costs about 2000 rubles.

Literally after the first instillations for complicated sinusitis, patients note that more mucopurulent discharge appears from the nasal passages.

This effect is achieved by influencing the endings of the trigeminal nerve, which leads to a reflex separation of pathogenic contents.

The discharge comes out in a liquefied form, swelling subsides, body temperature and the general condition of the patient normalize.

The main indication for use is sinusitis of various forms. For uncomplicated sinusitis, Sinuforte can be used as monotherapy.

It is worth dwelling on contraindications, these include: neoplasms, cysts, intolerance to cyclomen, rhinosinusopathy with severe allergic syndrome. Also, the drug is not used in pediatrics under 5 years of age, during pregnancy and lactation.

Sinuforte is instilled once a day, the course of treatment lasts two weeks. One dose of the drug is administered into each nostril.

Sometimes patients, after administration of Sinuforte, complain of the following symptoms: burning in the nose, headache, lacrimation, facial redness, skin rash and other allergic manifestations.

If adverse reactions occur, replacement with an analogue is necessary. Usually, substitutes are selected whose therapeutic effect is similar to Sinuforte. More often, products with a different composition are considered, that is, not structural analogues.

Cheap analogues of Sinuforte - list with prices

Most patients want to find an affordable analogue, the price of which will be within adequate limits. Of course, it is better to choose which drug will be more appropriate, the doctor knows better. Therefore, cheap is not always effective.

Cheaper analogues are still in greater demand than expensive drugs, therefore, let's look at their list with prices:

  • sinusine mix - a Russian drug, price about 140 rubles;
  • aflubin-nase - an Austrian remedy, price about 340 rubles;
  • sinusine is a Ukrainian remedy, price – 210 rubles;
  • pinovit (Ukraine) – 120 rubles;
  • healer (Ukraine) – 140 rubles.

Sinusitis mix

Sinusitis mix is a homeopathic medicine that includes 6 components. Among them are such well-known homeopathic substances as silicone, prescribed for various old (chronic) processes. The course of treatment is usually long, up to three months or as prescribed by the doctor. Sinusitis mix is used three times a day, dissolving 7 granules under the tongue at one time.

The product effectively cleanses the sinuses of “colored” snot with an unpleasant odor. Yellow and yellow-green snot is a direct indication for the use of this remedy.

Sinusitis mix does not provoke adverse reactions, is used in pediatrics and during pregnancy with the permission of a doctor, therefore, it is an alternative to replace sinusforte.

Aflubin-Naze (nasal spray)

The drug is used for all types of rhinitis, sinusitis, eastachitis, pharyngitis. Aflubin-nase is a homeopathic remedy. The drug contains the following components: mercury iodide, luffa, meadow lumbago, milky juice, black mustard. Aflubin-nase is a partial structural analogue of the Austrian drug Delufen, which will be discussed later in this article.

With the use of aflubin-nase, the general condition of patients improves, swelling in the nasal cavity goes away, and pathogenic secretions leave the paranasal sinuses (sinuses) faster. This therapeutic effect is achieved due to the pronounced anti-inflammatory and immunostimulating effect of the homeopathic composition of the drug in question.

The course of treatment ranges from 7 to 30 days. The drug is prescribed only after 12 years. Injections are carried out up to 4 times a day, injecting two doses into each nostril. The maximum daily dose is 16 injections into each nostril (8 times a day).

There are practically no side effects; the instructions for use contain a warning about possible drooling.

Aflubin-nase is not prescribed for hyperthyroidism and intolerance to the composition of the drug. Pregnancy is not a contraindication.

Pinovit (Ukraine)

The drug is presented in the form of nasal drops. The composition contains three oils: mint, mountain pine and eucalyptus. The fourth component is α-tocopherol acetate, the fifth is thymol.

This composition quickly relieves swelling and inflammation, thins viscous mucus, and has a moderate antimicrobial effect. Pinovit also has a detrimental effect on fungal microflora.

According to the instructions for use, pinovit is used for the following pathologies: inflammatory processes of the nasopharynx, rhinitis of a viral and bacterial nature, laryngotracheitis, nasopharyngitis. Pregnancy and lactation are not a contraindication for use.

  • Instillations always begin with loading doses, then increase the time between injections of pinovitis daily.
  • On the first day of illness, drops are instilled up to 6 times a day. 2-3 drops of solution are injected into each nostril.
  • For children who are already two years old, the dosage regimen is as follows - 1-2 drops three times a day, or as prescribed by a specialist. The duration of therapy lasts about 7 days.

Adverse reactions occur more often in people prone to allergic reactions. Sometimes the following symptoms are observed: burning, itching, discomfort in the nose, skin rashes, urticaria, angioedema.

Drops are not prescribed for: allergic rhinitis and intolerance to the composition of pinovitis. If negative symptoms appear, you should replace it with another drug with a similar therapeutic effect.

Healer (nasal spray)

Another popular Ukrainian drug, including 9 natural ingredients. Among them there are substances of plant origin, as well as propolis. The product contains cyclamen, so Healer and Sinuforte can be considered partial analogues.

The product is used for adults and children. The composition of the drug has a pronounced antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, it relieves swelling well and drains the sinuses.

According to reviews from patients and doctors, thanks to the healer, it is possible to avoid such an unpleasant manipulation as a puncture.

  • The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the inflammatory process in the paranasal sinuses, on average it is a week. The spray is administered 1-2 injections up to three times a day.
  • Contraindications: allergic rhinitis, neoplasms. The drug can be used for prophylactic purposes.

In addition to the presented Sinuforte analogues, there are other drugs; they are more expensive, but deserve attention.

Sinupret or Sinuforte - which is better?

The drug is produced in Germany. It has various forms: dragees, drops, syrup. The price for a pack of dragees (50 pieces) is about 400 rubles. The same price is for drops (100 ml bottle).

Sinupret, compared to Sinuforte, is more often used as monotherapy.

It should be noted that a course of treatment with Sunupret is cheaper, especially in cases where the drug is used for a long time.

  • The herbal composition (sorrel, elderberry, primrose, gentian, verbena) of sinupret ensures the removal of pathological secretions from the paranasal sinuses.
  • The drug has antimicrobial, anti-edematous and immunostimulating effects.
  • Sinupret is approved in pediatrics from two years of age. It is recommended to give dragees only from the age of 6, since children at this age are already able to swallow tablets.

If we consider the dose of the drug in the form of tablets, then 1 tablet is usually prescribed three times a day. The dose can be increased to 6 tablets for adults. The course of treatment is usually 7–14 days.

After taking the drug, patients note that the nasal mucosa dries out less, swelling and congestion go away. Sometimes patients prefer sinupret drops; they are usually prescribed in pediatrics.

Sometimes after taking Sinuforte, nausea, discomfort in the stomach, itching, shortness of breath, and other symptoms appear. If such reactions occur, the drug is changed to an analogue.

Delufen (Austria) or Sinuforte?

The drug is presented in the form of a spray, the price of which is in the range of 600–700 rubles. The homeopathic composition allows you to delicately cope with inflammation and swelling, without causing harm to the body, that is, no adverse reactions are observed. Delufen normalizes immune processes, thereby reducing the risk of developing various allergic reactions.

Delofen contains 5 components: luffa, son-grass, black mustard, mercury biiodide, and spurge.

After using the spray, patients note that the nose began to breathe better, and the pain in the projections of the maxillary sinuses decreased. After recovery, the nasal mucosa began to react less to irritants.

Delufen is prescribed for all forms of rhinitis, eustachitis, and rhinosinusitis, regardless of the etiology of the inflammatory process. Otolaryngologists recommend delofen for atrophy and hypertrophy of the mucosa. The product does not irritate the mucous membrane, there is no addiction to it, as when using vasoconstrictors.

The spray is injected into the nasal passages. For adults and adolescents (12 years and older), two doses in each nostril up to 4 times daily are recommended. For babies, only one spray is used in each nostril 2-4 times a day. The drug is approved for use from the neonatal period.

In the first days of illness, delufen is prescribed every two hours up to 8 times a day. In any case, a detailed treatment regimen for each patient is determined by a specialist, especially for children under one year of age.

What is better to choose, which product is more effective? This question is often asked by patients. The fact is that doctors can offer several drugs to choose from, taking into account the financial capabilities of the patient. To clarify the situation, let's compare several drugs.

Sinuforte or Sinupret – which is better?

The products are not structural analogues. If you compare the active substances, you will not find any common components. The effect on the body depends on individual susceptibility. Sinuforte is suitable for some patients, while others prefer Sinupret. Sinuforte has only one dosage form - lyophilisate; Sinupret is available in drops, syrup and dragees.

Despite the differences between these drugs, there is one thing that unites them - a therapeutic effect. The action of both drugs is aimed at thinning the pathogenic secretion and removing it from the paranasal sinuses. At the same time, the drugs relieve swelling, inflammatory reactions, and inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms.

An important factor is the price; here, undoubtedly, sinupret is a plus. It is 5 times cheaper than Sinuforte. You should also pay attention to the permissible age of use. Sinupret is allowed from the age of two, Sinuforte begins to be used only from adolescence (after 12 years).

Most experts believe that sinupret has a more pronounced therapeutic effect due to its complex composition, each component of which performs a therapeutic function. Sinuforte has a milder effect and helps with mild lesions of the paranasal sinuses.

In most cases, Sinuforte is used in complex treatment regimens. Sinupret, more often tablets, is prescribed as a separate treatment (monotherapy) without other auxiliary drugs. But, as already mentioned, the individual susceptibility of the drug to the body plays a major role in recovery.

Sinuforte or Rinofluimucil?

When comparing these drugs, it should immediately be noted that they are not analogues in composition. Sinuforte is a natural drug. Rinofluimucil has a synthetic composition: tuaminoheptane sulfate + acetylcysteine. There are also differences in the release form: Rinofluimucil is a nasal spray, Sinoforte is a lyophilisate from which a solution is prepared.

As for the price, it differs significantly. Rinofluimucil is much cheaper, about 7 times.

Among the disadvantages of rinofluimucil, we can note that it is synthetic in origin, therefore, the possibility of developing side effects is much greater than with Sinuforte. Pros - price and possibility of use from early childhood (from three years and even earlier (at the discretion of the doctor)).

Which is better - Rinofluimucil or Sinuforte? A specialist should answer this question, referring to the patient’s medical history. From practice, it has been observed that rhinofluimucil is prescribed more often, but we should not forget that price plays an important role.

Conclusion

The high price of Sinufort forces patients and doctors to look for analogues. These are mainly homeopathic and herbal preparations. Which is better to choose depends on many factors: the patient’s condition, age, chronic diseases, and so on. The doctor's practical experience also plays an important role in this matter.

When choosing an analogue, you need to achieve the main goal - the therapeutic effect should be no worse than that of Sinuforte.

Sinuforte for sinusitis: composition, use, side effects, reviews

Since the effect of Sinuforte on the human body has not yet been fully studied, it is not recommended to use it for the treatment of sinusitis in women during pregnancy and lactation. There is no data on whether the active substance crosses the placental barrier or enters breast milk, and what consequences this may lead to.

However, there are reviews from some women who took the medicine Sinuforte for sinusitis during pregnancy, and no negative consequences were noted.

The drug is available in the form of a lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for intranasal administration from light brown to white. One bottle contains 50 mg of the active substance - lyophilized juice and extract of fresh European cyclamen tubers. The kit includes a solvent - water for injection.

In order to prepare Sinuforte drops for sinusitis, you need to:

  • unscrew the cap of the bottle with the drug and remove the stopper;
  • open the bottle with the solvent and pour water for injection into the bottle with the drug;
  • attach the sprayer and shake the bottle until the contents are completely dissolved;
  • Remove the protective cap from the dispenser sprayer and make 2 or 3 test presses.

The resulting solution can be transparent or light yellow, without a distinct odor.

When administering the drug, you need to keep your head straight. The dispenser spray is inserted into the nasal passage and pressed once. Adults and children over 5 years old receive one injection per day.

The medicine for sinusitis Sinuforte is recommended to be used daily or every other day. The duration of treatment is (depending on the frequency of use):

  • daily: 6–8 days
  • every other day: 12–16 days.

In order to achieve a therapeutic effect, it is necessary to complete the course of therapy. A decrease in the severity of symptoms of the disease and an improvement in general condition, according to patient reviews, is observed after 3–5 administrations of drops.

Sinuforte after surgery begins to be used on the second day. The goal of this treatment is to reduce swelling of the nasal mucous membranes and drainage of the sinuses. When using the drug, there is no need to rinse the paranasal sinuses.

In some cases, side effects may develop during use of the drug. According to reviews, Sinuforte for sinusitis irritates the nasal mucosa after injection. The product burns, stings, then after a few minutes a reflex sneezing begins (the amount has a pronounced variability - from 1-2 to 20 times). They indicate that after this there is a relief of the condition.

The use of Sinuforte causes reflex sneezing
The use of Sinuforte causes reflex sneezing

Some patients experienced an increase in the amount of saliva, dry nose and watery eyes. In isolated cases, redness of the skin of the face and a headache in the area of the bridge of the nose or forehead are reported, which quickly passes. Sometimes there was a change in the color of the discharge, the snot became pale pink.

If after using Sinuforte the swelling of the nasal mucosa intensifies, a skin rash or shortness of breath appears, treatment should be stopped and consult a doctor.

Overdose

No cases of Sinuforte overdose have been reported. If the recommended dose is exceeded, the therapeutic effect does not increase, and the risk of developing adverse reactions increases, such as:

  • severe burning sensation in the nasopharynx;
  • headache.

For therapy, you need to take an antihistamine and rinse your nose and throat with warm water. It should be borne in mind that an overdose of Sinuforte can have a negative effect on the nervous, respiratory or cardiovascular system.

It should be taken in the dosages prescribed by the doctor and for the duration of the course indicated by the specialist. Use the product by spraying into the nose. Each press of the dispenser dispenses an amount of the drug that is equivalent to 2-3 drops, or 0.13 ml. This dosage is just a single dose. However, if necessary, it can be increased at the discretion of the doctor.

For adults, the following rule applies: use 1 spray in each nostril once a day. In order for the drug to be sprayed better, it is recommended to first make two injections into the air.

Sinuforte should be used every day, without allowing breaks in therapy. The course of treatment averages 12-16 days if treatment is offered every other day, and 6-8 days with daily therapy.

You cannot lengthen the course or increase the dosage on your own - there is a risk of getting unexpected results, leading to complications and worsening the course of the pathological process.

Based on natural ingredients, Sinuforte is widely advertised on the Internet as an effective remedy for the treatment of sinusitis.

You can find many positive reviews that say how with the help of this remedy a patient can be cured of this dangerous disease within a short period of time.

A significant disadvantage of using Sinuforte is its rather high price, which fluctuates around 1,500 rubles. This article will tell you how Sinuforte is used, who this remedy helps and to whom it is strictly contraindicated.

The composition of the drug Sinuforte, which fights inflammation in the maxillary sinuses, includes a squeeze of cyclamen juice and an extract of the tubers of this plant. Traditional medicine treatment methods involve the use of cyclamen to relieve patients suffering from acute and chronic forms of ENT diseases, such as sinusitis, sinusitis, proliferation of adenoids and the appearance of polyps.

With inflammation in the maxillary sinuses of the nose, accumulation and stagnation of pus occurs due to impaired air exchange and severe swelling of the patient's mucosa.

Cyclamen contains valuable substances saponins, which have a beneficial effect on the condition of the nasal mucosa. When the juice of this plant enters the nasal sinuses, the pus gradually begins to liquefy, the swelling of the mucous membrane decreases, and the outflow of accumulated fluid increases noticeably.

The instructions for the medicine explain how to dilute the drug. Experts highlight the following rules for using Sinuforte:

  • The main condition for the safe use of Sinuforte is to thoroughly shake the bottle to ensure the most complete dissolution of the powdery substance called lyophilisate.
  • Before each use, spray several times into the air.
  • When injecting the drug into the nasal sinuses, the patient must hold his breath for 5-10 seconds. The active substance is a fairly aggressive component and its entry into the body through the respiratory tract is undesirable.
  • If you pay attention to the above tips for using Sinuforte, treating sinusitis with this drug will be effective and painless.

Some patients have a question: do Sinuforte drops exist or is this drug only available in powder form, which is used to prepare a treatment solution.

Due to the need to strictly dose the entry of cyclamen particles into the body, this remedy can be found in a single release form.

Using Sinuforte spray to treat sinusitis allows you to clearly control the required dosage.

Otolaryngologists recommend refusing treatment of the maxillary sinuses with Sinuforte in the following cases:

  • if after using the product the patient’s nose is even more stuffy than before using it;
  • when severe swelling occurs on the mucous membrane of the nasal sinuses;
  • when significant irritation appears on the skin;
  • with noticeable redness of the area near the lips and nose;
  • when signs of shortness of breath appear, which began after the start of treatment with the drug.

The above cases indicate that the patient’s body rejects the healing substance contained in cyclamen. Treatment with the drug in these cases should be stopped immediately and your doctor should be informed about this.

If the patient has doubts about the possible occurrence of an allergic reaction to cyclamen, there is no need to spend money on the expensive drug Sinuforte.

Before purchasing this remedy, you can try folk remedies that contain the juice or pulp of the leaves of this medicinal plant, and make sure that the body is not hypersensitive to it.

Practicing otolaryngologists do not advise pregnant women and nursing mothers to take Sinuforte. The effect of the drug on the fetus and its absorption into breast milk has not been fully studied, but there is no need to risk harming the health of the little organism.

Pediatricians insist that this medicine should not be used to treat sinusitis in children over 12, or even 16 years old.

The immune system of a child’s body is imperfect, and therefore, a product based on cyclamen juice can cause various types of allergic reactions.

If a sick person has signs of allergies to medicinal plants or certain foods, then the effectiveness of Sinuforte treatment will be significantly reduced. In case of short-term manifestations of allergic reactions, such as lacrimation, burning in the nose, frequent sneezing, headache, the attending physician may not cancel treatment with the drug.

While watching the video you will learn about sinusitis.

Sinuforte is an effective medicine for colds and inflammatory diseases of the ENT organs. It allows you to get rid of unpleasant symptoms - headaches, nasal congestion, etc.

Indications for use

The drug Sinuforte is prescribed to patients over 5 years of age as part of complex therapy for the following diseases:

  • sinusitis in acute and chronic forms;
  • sinusitis;
  • frontal sinusitis;
  • sphenoiditis;
  • rhinosinusitis;
  • ethmoiditis.

The drug gives a good therapeutic effect for various purulent complications in the nasal cavities. Also, as an adjuvant, the drug can be used as part of complex therapy for otitis media of bacterial and purulent origin.

Lyophysiat Sinuforte is often prescribed to patients during the rehabilitation period after surgical and various interventions on the nasal cavity (puncture of the maxillary sinuses, endoscopic examinations) in order to prevent the development of inflammatory processes and complications.

Sinuforte – cheaper analogues (list), which drug is better

Sinuforte is a popular remedy in otolaryngological practice.
Produced by pharmacological companies in Spain and Georgia. With the help of Sinuforte, anti-inflammatory therapy is carried out to eliminate pathological processes in the sinuses. Sinuforte is not used as a mono drug, but as a combination therapy, it will be very effective. The basis of Sinuforte for intranasal administration is made up of substances of plant origin: juice and extract of European cyclamen tubers.

The drug acts locally, exhibiting secretory-stimulating, secretolytic and decongestant effects. Thanks to the sinufort, a kind of drainage (washing out) occurs. Pathogenic discharge is released from the sinuses, and as a result, the excellent effectiveness of Sinuforte is visible. The ventilation function in the sinuses is quickly restored.

The cost of Sinuforte (lyophilisate for intranasal administration, solution nozzle 50 mg, 1 piece) is 2,400 rubles.

Indications

  • sinusitis (all types);
  • ethmoiditis;
  • frontal sinusitis;
  • sphenoiditis;
  • combination of various sinusitis;
  • otitis;
  • rhinitis (various forms);
  • postoperative conditions after endoscopic operations.

Contraindications

  • intolerance to the composition of Sinuforte;
  • children under 12 years of age;
  • severe hypertension;
  • sinusitis of cystic polyposis form (paranasal);
  • sinusopathy of allergic origin;
  • pregnancy and lactation.

In such cases, the question is: “What can replace Sinuforte so that there is an effect, and there are no adverse reactions?”

Adverse reactions

Possible adverse reactions include the following:

  • sneezing;
  • increased salivation;
  • slight burning sensation;
  • dryness in the nasopharynx;
  • redness of the conjunctiva;
  • lacrimation;
  • hyperemia of the facial zone;
  • headache;
  • pale pink discharge from the nasal passages.

The duration of therapy ranges from 6 to 16 days. It all depends on the mode of application. Injections can be performed daily or every other day. It is better to carry out the procedure at the same time, for example, after sleep. One injection is performed into each nasal entrance (the patient presses the dispenser).

The preparation of Sinuforte for use and the rules for its introduction into the nasal passages are described in detail in the official instructions.

Local anesthetics can neutralize the effect of Sinuforte. Therefore, their combined action is contraindicated. Nasal decongestants, on the contrary, are approved for pre-administration, i.e. they are instilled or injected into the nasal passages before sinusitis. Cyclamen is also combined with an antibacterial group of nasal drugs.

First of all, let's look at analogs that are as close as possible in composition and therapeutic effect. These can be partial analogues, each containing one active ingredient, or structural ones, completely repeating the main composition.

Nasodren (USA)

A structural analogue of Sinuforte is the American brand Nasodren. He is a rare guest in pharmacies in the post-Soviet space. Both products differ in manufacturer and price.

Nasodren is difficult to find and is mostly ordered directly from the US or through suppliers in Europe.

Nasodren (Nasodren) 50mg 5 ml costs about 1200 rubles.

The drug is a cheap analogue of Sinuforte and Nasodren. Targeting is a partial analogue. It contains a complex of natural components: cyclamen, propolis, St. John's wort, aloe, and other substances (9 components in total). The drug is prescribed up to three times a day, 1-2 injections. The course of treatment lasts a week. The product is also recommended for prophylactic use.

In Ukrainian pharmacies the drug can be found for 60 hryvnia, which is approximately 140 rubles. Unfortunately, just like Nasodren, the drug is difficult to find in Russian pharmacies. Most often, the drug is ordered through international transportation.

Sinupret (Germany)

Sinupret

This drug is several times cheaper than Sinuforte. It is available in the form of syrup, drops and dragees. Drops (100 ml) and dragees (No. 50) cost about 400 rubles. It should be noted that Sinupret is often used as monotherapy, and Sinuforte is prescribed only in the complex treatment of sinusitis.

Sinupret is an excellent analogue of Sinufort for chronic processes. It is cheaper and a long course will not be as expensive.

  • Sinupret does not contain cyclamen, but it does have the following useful components: verbena, gentian, primrose, elderberry and sorrel. All these plants in combination have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, secretolytic, decongestant and thinning activity.
  • In addition, sinupret strengthens the immune system and protects the nasopharyngeal mucosa from drying out.

Dragees are used only after 6 years of age; other forms of the drug are allowed from the age of two. Adults are prescribed up to 6 tablets per day, children - 1 tablet three times a day. Therapy lasts up to two weeks. It all depends on the degree of the inflammatory process.

Important! The drops are used orally (not in the nose). Adult dosage – 50 drops three times a day. Doses for children are determined by the pediatrician.

While taking Sinupret, the following adverse reactions sometimes occur: itching, rash, redness, shortness of breath, swelling. They are rarely observed in the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Gaymorin (Ukraine)

The drug is available in homeopathic peas. Prescribed for various types of sinusitis. The mineral and herbal composition helps cleanse the sinuses and strengthen the immune system (the product performs a drainage function and improves metabolic processes). The drug contains: western thuja, sepia, silicium and kalium bichromicum. Prescribed in acute and chronic cases.

The price of the drug is approximately 200 rubles.

The product is another homeopathic analogue of Sinuforte. It is produced pharmaceutically. It contains hydrastis, lycopodium, silicea, pulsatilla, kalium bichromicum and aurum metallicum. The indications are the same as for Sinuforte.

Price – 130 rubles.

Based on the above, we will compile a list with prices of the most popular Sinuforte analogues:

  • infuriated - 1200 rubles;
  • healer – 140 rubles;
  • sinupret – 400 rubles;
  • sinusitis – 200 rubles;
  • sinusine mix – 130 rubles.

As you can see from the list, all analogues are cheaper than Sinuforte.

We have already become acquainted with one Russian-made analogue - this is the homeopathic drug “Hymorin Mix”. I would also like to dwell on the domestic analogue “Dolphin”, which enjoys positive reviews from patients and doctors. Most reviews indicate the high effectiveness of this product.

In principle, many readers know about this remedy as a solution for rinsing the nose. Dolphin has an interesting composition. It contains salt components: sea salt, sodium bicarbonate, as well as plant substances: licorice and rose hips (their extracts).

This complex of useful substances is close in composition to natural (physiological) body fluids, and therefore replenishes the necessary components.

Dolphin has an antiseptic, regenerating, local immunostimulating effect, and helps secrete protective mucus.

Rosehip and licorice supply tissues with vitamins, protecting the nasal passages from various bacteria, viruses and allergens. The drug promotes the outflow of pus and discharge during sinusitis, eliminates swelling, improves patency and ventilation function, and is a reliable prevention of otitis media.

Main indications:

  • rhinitis (all types);
  • adenoiditis;
  • dryness and crusting in the nose;
  • rinsing the nose in case of foreign substances;
  • sinusitis;
  • prevention of ARVI;
  • surgical manipulations in the nasal cavity.

Dolphin is recommended for pregnant and lactating women.

Side effect

Negative reactions rarely develop; the manufacturer notes the following: the possibility of bleeding from the nose and eustachitis.

Contraindications

Dolphin is prohibited for use under the following conditions:

  • severe nasal congestion;
  • intolerance to the composition;
  • anatomical disorders of the nasal septum, as well as other problems associated with insufficient patency of the nasal passages;
  • tendency to nosebleeds;
  • neoplasms of various origins.

Children under 4 years of age are also considered a contraindication.

Dolphin is a cheap substitute for Sinuforte, the average price in pharmacies is 300 rubles. The pharmacy sells children's and adult forms of the drug.

When choosing an analogue, patients have doubts about what is better to choose. Most citizens are primarily concerned about the price, although they should probably first be interested in the quality and reliability of the drug. Unfortunately, everyone’s financial capabilities are different, and the main drug quite often has to be changed precisely because the patient’s ability to pay is limited.

The composition of the drugs is completely different. Their manufacturers are also different. Opinions differ regarding effectiveness; each drug has its fans and opponents. The drugs also differ in the form of release.

The similarity of the funds under consideration lies in their effect on the body. Both drugs dilute and remove pathogenic secretions from the sinuses, relieve inflammation and swelling, and increase local immunity.

The advantage of Sinupret is the price, as well as the possibility of its use from the age of six and even earlier (for drops). Sinuforte is allowed to be prescribed only from 12 years of age.

This explains the fact that Sinuforte is used as monotherapy, and is used only in conjunction with other drugs. Consequently, sinupret has a stronger therapeutic effect, because he is able to cope with the disease on his own.

To determine the best drug, let's briefly take a look at the spray called “Rinofluimucil”. The drug contains only two substances: acetylcysteine and tuaminoheptane sulfate. Here is the first difference. Sinuforte is a herbal preparation, Rinofluimucil is a synthetic one. They are not structural analogues.

Rinofluimucil is available only in the form of a nasal spray. Here is the second difference - the release forms of the drugs are different.

There is a similarity in therapeutic effect. Both products have anti-inflammatory, decongestant and thinning effects. In addition, rinofluimucil has a vasoconstrictor and antioxidant effect. Rinofluimucil is an anticongestive agent, although it is often attributed to the antibacterial group.

Side effects

The drug is usually well tolerated by patients, but in persons with increased individual sensitivity, local adverse reactions may occur due to the use of the prepared solution:

  • burning in the nose;
  • sore throat;
  • coughing;
  • dyspnea;
  • lacrimation;
  • difficulty breathing;
  • tingling in the nose and constant sneezing.

In allergy sufferers, the initial use of the drug can lead to the development of nasopharyngeal edema or Quincke's edema. In such a situation, treatment with the drug should be stopped immediately, the patient should be given an antihistamine and consult a doctor immediately.

Sinuforte for sinusitis: composition, use, side effects, reviews

Composition of the product

Sinuforte solution for intranasal administration (drops) for sinusitis is made on the basis of cyclamen juice and extract.

Inflammation in the sinuses (sinusitis) goes away very quickly thanks to this remedy. Ordinary water is used as an excipient: cyclamen extract in its pure form is harmful to the body and can cause side effects.

Release forms

As mentioned earlier, Sinuforte for sinusitis is produced in drops. They are necessary for topical use against inflammation in the nose and sinuses.

Therapeutic effect

Sinuforte has a secretolytic effect, which contributes to:

  • drainage of the nasal sinuses (the rheological properties of the contents of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses are improved, and mucociliary transport is restored);
  • eliminates swelling (increasing microcirculation of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and sinuses).

As a result of the action of the drug, the nose and sinuses are gradually cleared of viscous mucus or pus.

The drug is available in a bottle with a spray, which makes it convenient for intranasal use.

A single dosage of Sinuforte is 1.3 mg (one injection). The drug is taken once a day, every day for 6 - 8 days. If the drug is used every other day, the course duration is 12 - 16 days. This dosage regimen is established for adults and children over 5 years of age.

Use by children

The drug is contraindicated for use in children under 5 years of age due to the lack of knowledge of its effect in this age category.

During pregnancy

The use of Sinuforte during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated, since its effect in these categories of patients has not been studied.

One of the unpleasant consequences of treatment occurs when the recommended dose is exceeded. A person feels a burning sensation and pain in the nasopharynx. In this case, you just need to rinse your nose with plain water to eliminate the discomfort.

Allergy sufferers also feel a burning sensation in the nasal cavity. Their mucous membranes also turn red. Sometimes headaches are possible. Then you need to inform your doctor about the situation in order to replace the drug or adjust the dosage.

There are certain categories of people for whom doctors do not prescribe these drops. The main categories are children under 5 years of age, lactating women and pregnant women. Sinuforte is also contraindicated for:

  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
  • polypous rhinosinusitis;
  • paranasal sinus cysts;
  • allergic rhinosinusopathy;
  • allergic reactions (delayed and immediate type);
  • arterial hypertension II-III degree.

Sinuforte should not be used after using local anesthetics, or simultaneously with them. In addition, this medicine is categorically incompatible with vasoconstrictor nasal drops. Such drugs include the well-known Naphthyzin.

If the patient uses vasoconstrictor medications, then Sinuforte will have to be abandoned. If a person wants to use Sinuforte, he must stop using Naphthyzin. Then the treatment will not bring any unpleasant sensations.

It is also important to know that Sinuforte is simply a complement to treatment. The main means should be antiviral or antimicrobial drugs. To achieve a positive and, importantly, long-lasting result from the therapy, an integrated approach is required, combining etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic treatment.

Analogues of Sinuforte

Sometimes Sinuforte does not help the patient. The drug can also cause a severe allergic reaction. However, sinusitis still needs to be treated and you have to use analogues of Sinuforte. These include:

  1. Aqua Maris. Anti-inflammatory nasal drops based on sea water. Effective for dry nose. Sinuforte for the treatment of sinusitis is available in various pharmacy chains in the CIS and Baltic countries. It can be purchased online or at a regular pharmacy. The drug is available without a prescription. Here are examples of prices:

  • in Ukraine, a remedy for severe sinusitis costs about 491 hryvnia 94 kopecks;
  • in Russia you can purchase the drug for 2136 rubles;
  • in Belarus, the minimum cost of a bottle of drops is 29 rubles 10 kopecks.

However, these are approximate prices. The cost of the product varies depending on the selected network. Therefore, you should always check the cost of the medicine you are interested in directly from the pharmacy chain.

Despite the fact that today a large number of medications are advertised that supposedly treat inflammation of the maxillary sinuses, you can only trust a few of them - the most proven and reliable. For example, reviews of Sinufort - both from doctors and from users - show that this remedy really helps stop the inflammatory process and improves the patient’s well-being.

Sinuforte is a medicine that is often used in the treatment of sinusitis.
