The death of bacteria occurs due to the penetration of the active component of the spray into their membrane shells.

The antifungal effect helps to cope with fungi that begin to actively multiply during many skin pathologies. Zinc pyrithione has a destructive effect on these microorganisms, preventing them from spreading in the affected area.

The safety of the Skin-cap aerosol is achieved due to the fact that its active component is practically not absorbed into the blood. The substance is concentrated mainly in the upper layer of the dermis, which is sufficient for the successful treatment of psoriasis and other skin diseases.

Release form

Skin-cap cream, instructions for use of which will be discussed below, is used more often than other forms in the treatment of dermatological diseases, although the drug is also produced in the form of:

1. Spray. Its advantage over other forms of the product is that it can be applied without touching the skin, spraying from a distance. This process is no more complicated than spraying hairspray. There are also disadvantages: the aerosol has a characteristic odor that quickly spreads through the air. Also, when wearing contact lenses, molecules of the substance stick to them, making the lenses unusable. The therapeutic effects do not differ from other forms, but the spray, unlike them, slightly dries the skin. Sold in packages weighing 70 g or 35 g (concentration 0.2%), a nozzle is included.
2. Gel. Used as a preventative shower gel and is not a medicine. It can be purchased for very minor irritation or for rashes that are not associated with serious illnesses (for allergies/heat rash/acne). The bactericidal activity of Skin-cap is due to its ability to damage cell membranes and reduce the ATP content in microbial cells. Included in the shower gel, in addition to the main active component, lipids belonging to the class of ceramides are produced by the stratum corneum of the skin, ensuring its barrier function.

Indications for use

The unique composition of the Skin-cap aerosol allows it to be used for various skin pathologies, including severe or chronic conditions. Medicines are prescribed for the following diseases:
