  3. Vitamin B12 or cyanocobaolamine is involved in the process of normal hematopoiesis, maturation of red blood cells, and biochemical reactions to ensure the vital functions of the body. Without it, the transfer of methyl groups and the exchange of amino acids, lipids and carbohydrates are impossible. The vitamin affects the production of nucleic acids, the lipid composition of phospholipids, and cerebrosides.
