How to cure a cold with folk remedies: simple effective recipes

A cold is not a very dangerous condition. However, a cold is fraught with complications that can cause serious damage to the body.

There are various recipes for colds, for example, in case of hypothermia, you need to dissolve a handful of sea salt in a basin and steam your feet. It is important to ensure that the water is not very hot.

The procedure should not be continued for more than 15 minutes. After this, the person wipes his feet dry and puts on warm socks.

When it is not possible to make a foot bath, you can put sea salt crystals on your tongue and suck them for a while. We must not forget that only the salt that is purchased is a food additive.

The cold season is the period when people catch colds most often. This is also affected by a lack of vitamins, which weakens the immune system. Thus, a person becomes defenseless against low temperatures and drafts. The maximum number of sick people is registered in clinics, and doctors are diagnosing “ARD” en masse.

The onset of a cold

If a person is in a state of hypothermia for a long time, it is useful to perform acupressure. Use your fingertips to press:

  • at the collarbones,
  • in the area of the carotid artery,
  • in the area of the seventh cervical vertebra,
  • between the eyebrows,
  • at the wings of the nose.

It is best to press until it hurts, 6-8 times for each zone. Massage should be performed once every 2 hours.

After hypothermia, it is useful to immediately take a hot shower and rub with a washcloth; this is a kind of massage of many points.

The symptoms of a cold are well known:

  1. temperature increase,
  2. general malaise and weakness,
  3. muscle and head pain,
  4. runny nose,
  5. cough.

If you have these symptoms, it is not advisable to immediately use antibiotics. You should not overload the body with chemicals; there are equally effective traditional methods of treating colds, for example, herbs.

If treatment of a cold with folk remedies does not bring the expected results within 3-4 days, then the help of a doctor is required.

Medication is also required for:

  • severe coughing attacks,
  • waste of blood,
  • attacks of shortness of breath and suffocation,
  • the appearance of purulent sputum.

All of the above is a signal that the cold has become dangerous and needs to be treated urgently.

If a cold is present in its usual form, then there are recipes for colds, coughs and sore throats - it is enough to use an effective remedy from the arsenal of traditional medicine.

Anatomy and medicine

The breathing process is the passage of air masses through specially designed pathways into the lungs. In this case, the passages of the nose, trachea, and bronchial tree are overcome, which includes numerous bronchioles, ending with alveoli, sacs in which air is located. Malignant processes can be localized in any part of the described system. The onset of the disease is often unpredictable, and the course is rapid. From medical statistics it is known that most often they try to figure out how to cure lung cancer with folk remedies due to the degeneration of bronchial epithelial cells. The progression of the disease until the first symptoms appear can last for years or even decades. Lung cancer is one of the most common cancer pathologies found in people.

Although healers assure that there is an effect when using folk remedies for stage 4 lung cancer, not to mention less dangerous stages, you should not expect that only this approach will be able to completely stop the pathological processes. Experts recommend combining witchcraft remedies and an official approach. The doctor chooses a medication program, may prescribe a course of radiation or surgery, and also suggest combining several different treatment methods. The choice is based on the type of process, area of localization, level of malignancy and stage of progress. When choosing folk remedies, it is wise to consult with your doctor so that they do not interfere with the main therapy and maintain its effect.

Inhalations

These procedures are used already at the first attacks of cough, runny nose and sore throat. The best way to perform inhalations is to use a special heat-moisture inhaler.

Using such a device, it is impossible to prevent burns to the nasopharynx, since the outlet temperature of the steam reaches only 38 degrees.

For steam inhalations the following are used:

  1. baking soda,
  2. salt,
  3. mineral water,
  4. oils: menthol and eucalyptus,
  5. medicinal herbs.

If you treat colds and runny nose with oils, you should add 3 to 5 drops of the product to a glass of boiling water. Inhalations for colds are carried out for about 15 minutes, not earlier than an hour after various exercises and meals. It is not recommended to be distracted during the procedure.

When inhaling, you should not breathe deeply so as not to provoke a coughing attack. After the procedure, you should not strain your voice or smoke for about an hour.

Bedbug bites

The bite of this insect is quite unpleasant. This causes large red blisters in some people. With weak immunity, wounds begin to fester and become inflamed. They are sometimes confused with mosquito bites. Unlike mosquitoes, bedbugs can carry contagious diseases. In ancient times, they became provocateurs of epidemics. There is a small percentage of people who are allergic to the bite of this insect. After communicating with bedbugs, they end up in a hospital bed, and only doctors can save their lives.

Bedbug bites cause the following symptoms:

  • Severe itching that does not stop for a long time.
  • An allergic reaction in the form of redness and swelling.
  • The bite sites are covered with convex blisters of a crimson-red hue.
  • A person’s immunity noticeably decreases, and along with it, their general well-being.
  • The saliva of this insect contains anesthetic substances that make the bite painless. A sleeping person does not feel any pain and continues to lie motionless. This is exactly what the bedbug needs, because any movement scares it away.

Thermal treatments

It is important to approach thermal procedures with caution, especially for elderly people and those with cardiovascular problems.

Traditional medicine advises treating colds and runny nose like this: soak a woolen cloth in vinegar, camphor and olive oil, then apply a bandage to the chest and leave until the morning. You can put a compress with grated horseradish on the back of your neck.

Often, for medicinal purposes, mustard plasters are applied to the heels of the feet and bandaged with flannel. Mustard powder is also poured into woolen socks. Mustard cannot be left on your feet for a long time - maximum 2 hours.

It is optimal to perform the procedures before bed; as a rule, the runny nose stops by morning. If a sore throat occurs when swallowing, it is recommended to tie a woolen scarf around your neck or apply a compress to it: dip a piece of gauze in heated sunflower oil and apply it to the sore spot.

Place wax paper or polyethylene on the compress and wrap your neck with a scarf. To avoid burns, keep the compress for no more than 4 hours.

Means for oral use

Before you start taking folk remedies, you should make adjustments to your diet. It is important to balance it so that the bulk of the meal consists of herbs and dairy products, which are easily digestible and contain many vitamins.

It is especially important to introduce the habit of consuming fruits with a large amount of vitamin C. The daily dose of ascorbic acid during the course of the disease should reach one gram.

The largest amount of vitamin C is found in rose hips and black currants. If you leave the rosehip infusion for 10 hours (1 large spoon per 250 mg of boiling water), you will get a daily dose of the vitamin.

Blackcurrant contains vitamin C in both the leaves and fruit. This means that both fresh frozen and pureed berries can be used against coughs and colds. Tea made from the leaves is also beneficial.

If there are neither black currants nor rose hips, they are replaced with plenty of lemon. An effective treatment for a runny nose is to sniff a few drops of lemon juice through your nose and lie down for a while.

Lemon is taken with its peel and zest. In the cold season, grape juice and raisins are useful; consuming such products stops the progression of colds.

Carrots are the most accessible remedy that can be used to easily treat colds. The product contains vitamin A, which has healing properties. If there is an increase in temperature, it is important to take a drink with a detoxifying effect.

  • cranberries,
  • lemon,
  • lingonberries.

The products have a slight diuretic effect, which allows you to remove pathogenic microbes from the body. Linden, raspberries and chamomile have pathogenic and antipyretic effects.

Not only berries, but also dried and fresh leaves of shrubs have medicinal properties. Herbal decoctions can be made by brewing the raw material in 200 mg of water and used as a gargle.

You can treat your throat with a decoction of dried chamomile flowers. Garlic against cancer

A proven folk remedy for stage 4 lung cancer, as well as earlier ones, is garlic. The plant has two positive effects at once: stimulation of the immune system and an antimicrobial result. The best results are obtained by consuming the raw product. Duration of use is a month. After a break of the same duration, you can repeat the program. Three times a day, eat a medium-sized clove 30 minutes before meals. This is the first stage of treatment and lasts a week. In the second week, the single dosage is increased fourfold, in the third week – doubled. The last, final step of the basic course is to eat 12 garlic pieces at a time.

Using a raw product may cause problems with the digestive system. If undesirable consequences occur, it is worth considering the possibility of an alternative garlic treatment for lung cancer as a folk remedy at home. We are talking about an alcohol tincture on the product. For preparation, you must use 70% alcohol. For half a liter of product, take a kilogram of chopped garlic and infuse the mixture in a dark room for a couple of weeks, then carefully filter the liquid and squeeze out the gauze. The finished medicine should be stored in the refrigerator. On the first day of use, absorb three drops 30 minutes before a meal, daily the single dosage is doubled. The duration of the program is one month. If the need arises, after a two-month break the treatment is repeated.

Garlic should not be used at critically low blood pressure levels. You cannot resort to this method of treatment if you are intolerant to the product.

  • 10 g pine buds,
  • 200 mg hot boiled water,

Brew the raw materials with water, close the lid and heat in a water bath for half an hour. Strain and let sit for 10 minutes, then squeeze.
