Indications for use
"Kamistad" is prescribed for the treatment of gingivitis, stomatitis, lip irritation, including chapping. The drug is used to treat inflammation of the oral mucosa: with the formation of blisters, damage and irritation of the mucous membrane by dentures and braces, as well as during the eruption of milk and permanent teeth, including wisdom teeth. In addition, the drug is used after surgical interventions in the oral cavity.

Instructions for use of "Kamistad"
Gel "Kamistad" is prescribed to adults and children over 12 years of age; for the treatment of children from 4 months of age, the drug "Kamistad Baby" is used. A strip of gel 5 mm long is applied to the inflamed area of the mucous membrane and gently rubbed in. The drug should be used 3 times a day. For adults, the number of doses can be increased if necessary.
Please note: in 2012, the concentration of the active components of the drug was changed. When teething in children, only Kamistad Baby can be used.

The local anesthetic lidocaine hydrochloride, which is part of the drug, helps to quickly and lastingly reduce pain during inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth, gums and lips.
Chamomile flower tincture has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and wound-healing effects.
The gel base of the Kamistad drug allows it to be easily distributed throughout the mucous membrane.
Compound
The main active ingredient in the gel is lidocaine hydrochloride. In addition to it, the gel uses pharmaceutical chamomile, which has both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Additional components are: trometamol, benzalkonium chloride, carbomer compounds, cinnamon oil, oda, formic acid.
Due to the fact that the medication is in the pharmacological form of a gel, its use is allowed only externally. In order to eliminate pain symptoms, the gel must be applied with special care to the oral mucosa.
Gel "Kamistad" is a drug that can be safely used not only by adult patients, but also by children under the age of one year. The basic rule is that the patient should not have any contraindications to its use.
Kamistad gel for stomatitis
The disease stomatitis can occur for various reasons - poor diet, hormonal imbalance, allergic reactions, mechanical injuries. Before starting treatment, the cause should be determined. The first thing recommended for stomatitis is nutritional correction. Your daily diet should include foods that contain sufficient quantities of folic acid, selenium, and zinc.
In childhood patients, an infectious disease is often encountered - herpetic stomatitis, which is transmitted by airborne droplets. A child may get sick in kindergarten or catch an infection at school. Sometimes it is mistaken for an acute respiratory disease. Characteristic symptoms of herpetic stomatitis: painful, swollen gums, the formation of blisters in the oral cavity, which turn into erosions and cover the entire mucous membrane. Instructions for use
Kamistad gel is used externally only. Before applying the medicine, the mucous membrane should be treated - perform oral hygiene and dry the areas intended for the gel with a dry cotton or gauze swab. Now, using gentle finger movements, rub a drop of the drug into the painful area.
For children under two years of age, the gel can be applied up to three times a day, for adults - no more than 6. The use of the drug during teething in infants requires special care. The gel causes permanent complete numbness of the tongue and mucous membrane , increased salivation, which can lead to choking of the baby due to impaired swallowing. The flow of saliva from the mouth irritates the skin of the face, and the child can bite numb lips.
Contraindications
The drug Kamistad is contraindicated in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in infants under three months, if there is hypersensitivity to the active and auxiliary substances of the drug (tincture of chamomile flowers, lidocaine hydrochloride, benzalkonium chloride, cinnamon oil, trometamol, carbomer, sodium saccharin).
