Mastopol: instructions for use
The medicine should be taken on an empty stomach 3 times a day, 1 tablet (half an hour before meals or an hour after meals). There is no need to take the drug with water - the tablets are intended for sublingual resorption. The duration of the course is 2 months. After diagnosing the results of treatment, the doctor may prescribe a second course.
Mastopol is available without a prescription, but treatment is recommended only as prescribed by a specialist. To confirm the presence of fibrocystic changes, it is necessary to undergo a number of diagnostic procedures - blood tests for hormones, ultrasound of the mammary glands, and biopsy.
When should you take Mastopol?
In women over 30 years of age, the risk of breast diseases increases several times. In most cases, neoplasms are benign and do not pose a health risk, but they cause pain and cause significant discomfort in life. For prevention purposes, it is necessary to conduct self-diagnosis and visit a mammologist at least once every six months. An unscheduled trip to the doctor is necessary for cyclical chest pain during menstruation, enlargement and swelling of the mammary gland, discharge from the nipple, and lumps in the armpit.
Mastopol is the prevention and treatment of mastopathy with proven effectiveness in 95.5% of cases. Mastopathy manifests itself in the pathological growth of tissue in one or both mammary glands, occurs in 60% of women over 35 years of age and degenerates into a malignant tumor with a probability of 1 case out of 10. There is no need to self-medicate mastopathy - only a mammologist and professional diagnostics will help identify the disease and its causes appearance.
Mastopol is an effective drug for eliminating pain, swelling and heaviness of the breasts during the menstrual cycle. The cause of pain can be hormonal imbalance, inflammation of the ovaries, dysfunction of the pelvic organs, or the process of cyst formation. You cannot simply suppress pain with analgesics - it is important to identify the cause of the discomfort and provide adequate treatment.

Mastopathy. Diagnosis of mastopathy. Treatment of mastopathy
The most common symptoms of mastopathy are:
- Constant or periodic soreness of the mammary glands, which may intensify at the beginning of menstruation and subside at the end;
- Discharge from the nipples, which can have a different character (colostrum-like, etc.);
- Feelings of a lump in the mammary gland;
- Nodules in the mammary gland.
Mastopathy
is one of the most common diseases associated with hormonal imbalance.
From time to time, reports appear about how common a particular disease is. Some pathologies occur more often, others less frequently, and others in exceptional cases. Today we want to talk about a disease that affects up to 60% of women of reproductive age - mastopathy.
Six out of ten women suffer from this disease. According to WHO terminology, mastopathy is a fibrocystic disease that is accompanied by changes in the tissues of the mammary gland. With this disease, the ratio of epithelial and connective tissue changes.
Mastopathy (dyshormonal dysplasia of the mammary gland) is divided into nodular and diffuse. Diffuse mastopathy most often manifests itself as pain, usually in the second phase of the menstrual cycle. In this case, a complex of complaints may appear - an increase in volume, a feeling of heaviness and fullness in the mammary gland, pain when touched. With nodular mastopathy, one or more nodules can be felt in the mammary gland.
Of course, the main question for women remains the question of the causes of mastopathy. There are many of them, and experts say that you need to pay attention to these reasons.
As experiments have shown, the direct cause of mastopathy is hormonal imbalance, an imbalance in the ratio of estrogen and progesterone, and an increase in prolactin. These hormones play an important role in a woman’s reproductive function, and the following factors also play an important role:
- heredity;
- adnexitis - inflammation of the uterine appendages, as a result of which interaction with the regulatory centers of the brain is disrupted and hormonal imbalance occurs;
- late first pregnancy and childbirth (after 28 years);
- abortion, as a result of which hormonal metabolism is disrupted;
- premature interruption of lactation. During the feeding process, stable functioning of the entire neuro-endocrine system is established, and if feeding is stopped early, the normal production of sex hormones may be disrupted;
- lack of regular sex life;
- diseases of the liver, bile ducts and gall bladder. The liver plays an important role in the metabolism of estrogen, and with its diseases this ability is reduced and even lost, as a result of which the content of hormones increases;
- pathologies of the thyroid gland: hypofunction of the thyroid gland increases the risk of developing mastopathy by 3.8 times;
- hypovitaminosis: lack of vitamins A, B1, B2, C mainly affects the liver’s ability to destroy excess estrogens;
- neuroses, stress, lack of sufficient sleep;
- excess body weight.
The more accurately the causes of mastopathy are determined in each specific case, the more effective the treatment will be.
Please note: mastopathy does not go away on its own; this disease requires treatment. In 90% of cases, mastopathy can be suspected independently in the early stages of development - through monthly self-examination on days 6-12 of the menstrual cycle. However, even if a woman does not experience any problems, doctors advise visiting a mammologist every six months. Even if a woman independently suspects mastopathy, only a doctor can make an accurate diagnosis and prescribe treatment. Diagnosis of mastopathy
To identify mastopathy, an examination of the mammary glands, thyroid gland, ultrasound of the mammary glands, ovaries, liver, and thyroid gland is carried out. A hormone level test may be prescribed. The main diagnostic methods that provide the most complete picture of the condition of the mammary glands are ultrasound and x-ray mammography. To finally confirm the clinical diagnosis and clarify the extent of the process in the mammary gland, the doctor may prescribe additional examinations (blood test for hormones, ductography, pneumocystography, cytological and histological examination, etc.). Their necessity in each specific case is determined individually.
Treatment of mastopathy
Only after a thorough examination, the doctor determines treatment tactics. Since mastopathy is a consequence of dyshormonal disorders, the main task of conservative treatment is, first of all, to identify and eliminate the causes that caused the hormonal imbalance in the body. As a rule, in the initial and middle stages, treatment of mastopathy is very gentle and includes diet, vitamin therapy and the use of herbal non-hormonal drugs. Today there are effective medications that can help prevent not only mastopathy, but also relieve the painful manifestations of PMS. Various herbal preparations and herbal teas have long proven themselves to be a reliable remedy for the treatment and prevention of mastopathy among doctors and patients.
