What beneficial qualities does Gepatrombin G have?

To treat and prevent the development of inflammation and varicose veins of the lower extremities, you can purchase medications in pharmacies that have similar names and properties - these are Hepatrombin and Hepatrombin G. Such drugs are included in the pharmacological group of anticoagulants - drugs that thin the blood.

INNs of medicines are practically the same. The only difference is the 1st letter. But it is precisely this that reflects the therapeutic effects of each of them. Namely, Gepatrombin - it should be used only externally, applied to the skin in the area of diseased veins. Gepatrombin G ointment should be used for hemorrhoids and inflammation of the veins of the anal canal.

Both products are used as a “dissolver” of blood clots. They reduce swelling of the tissues surrounding the affected veins and reduce the severity of inflammation in the venous system. They do not have analgesic effects. However, reducing inflammation eliminates the pain of varicose veins.

So, Gepatrombin G ointment, instructions for use, price, reviews from patients and phlebologists - we will look at it in detail in our review.

What's in this article:

Release form

Gepatrombin G ointment is available in aluminum tubes with a capacity of 20 mg. The kit includes an elongated plastic cap designed to simplify the application of the drug inside the affected area (rectum).

The drug itself is a translucent whitish gel with a possible yellowish tint. The consistency of the ointment is light, easily distributed when applied. There is a specific smell.

It is up to the consumer to decide which is better: suppositories or ointment. But, it should be mentioned that suppositories are only suitable for rectal administration and they do not treat the external area. Whereas the ointment is intended for comprehensive treatment of this disease.

Hepatrombin suppositories are widely popular, the therapeutic composition of which is exactly the same as that of the ointment. But, you should keep in mind that suppositories are only suitable for internal (rectal) use. But complex treatment of hemorrhoids should also include external use (at least prophylactically). The gel has universal use due to its easily absorbed texture and a special elongated cap that makes administration of the drug as convenient as possible.

There are three forms of release of the drug. Some are concerned about the question of which is better: Gepatrombin Gel or ointment? The difference lies in the method of application of these forms of the drug and the duration of their effect on the tissue.

Compound

The composition of hepatrombin ointment was very well chosen.

For 1 gram of the drug there are:

  • heparin sodium - 65 IU. A substance that effectively prevents the formation of blood clots. Obtained from the tissues of the small intestine or lungs of cattle or pigs. Promotes regeneration (restoration) of mucous membranes and connective tissue;
  • lauromacrogol 400 - 30 mg. Causes sclerosis (gradual thinning of the walls of blood vessels, their gluing) of the affected veins. Anesthetizes (numbs) the hemorrhoid area;
  • prednisolone acetate - 2.233 mg. Reduces blood circulation in affected vessels. Relieves allergic reactions, burning, itching, pain.
  • The ointment also includes various auxiliary and ballast substances , which do not have a special role in the formation of the therapeutic effect.

Analogues and cost

The financial situation of people can be different, and anyone can have problems with hemorrhoids. In addition, not every pharmacy can provide a full range of medicinal products for the treatment of this disease. A suffering person is faced with the acute question of how to choose hepatrombin ointment analogues.

The main active substance of the drug is sodium heparin, on the basis of which various manufacturers produce fairly high-quality ointments for hemorrhoids.

Heparin ointment

Ingredients: sodium heparin 100 IU (reduces inflammation and prevents thrombus formation), benzocaine 40 mg (dilates blood vessels, promotes better absorption of the drug), benzyl nicotinate 800 mcg (reduces pain). Heparin ointment is an ointment for external use. The product is applied to a gauze pad and applied to the affected area . But when treating hemorrhoids, it is also possible to insert a tampon with an applied substance into the anus.

There are differences between hepatrombin and heparin ointment, moreover, of a qualitative nature:

  • The absorption of the active substance is very different between these products. Hepatrombin is easily distributed and quickly absorbed;
  • Gepatrombin does not require additional means for application; it is enough to simply apply it to the diseased surface or inject it internally;
  • The price issue, of course, leaves hepatrombin ointment far behind heparin ointment. The cost of one package of heparin ointment (depending on the manufacturer and price markups in pharmacies) of the same volume as Gepatrombin G varies from 46 to 75 rubles .

Heparoid Ointment Zentiva

Composition: heparinoids 100 units.

Czech product. It is produced in the form of not exactly an ointment, but rather an oily emulsion. Absorption is high. The cost of packaging is 30 g. Is about 150 rubles .

Proctosan Neo

Available in the form of suppositories and gel. Contain exactly the same active substances. Tube with applicator on cap. Produced by the Serbian pharmaceutical company Hemofarm AD. The cost is about 140 rubles. The most accurate analogue of Gepatrombin G mazin on the modern market.

Proctosedyl ointment

An ointment that duplicates heparin in composition. Produced by a joint venture between India and Ukraine. Cost 56 rubles per tube of 10 g.

The cost of the drug Gepatrombin G for a standard 20 g tube is from 200 to 260 rubles , depending on the region. Additional “cheats”

in pharmacies.

Gepatrombin 50000 ointment contains:

  • Heparin sodium 50,000 IU;
  • Allantoin 300 mg. Stimulation of cellular and tissue metabolism. Acceleration of regeneration processes (restoration through the growth of identical tissue) of damaged cells;
  • Dexpanthenol 400 mg. Enhances tissue absorption of heparin, stops the development of ulcers and wounds, and actively promotes their healing.

Description of "Hepatrombin G"

Release form and composition

“Gepatrombin” and “Gepatrombin G” are complex drugs that are used in the local treatment of hemorrhoids. Both drugs are anticoagulants, i.e. they affect blood clotting, promoting the resorption of blood clots.

“Hepatrombin” - an ointment or gel-like preparation - is a rather active agent, and its rectal use can lead to burns of the intestinal mucous membranes. That is why, when relieving the manifestations of hemorrhoids, this remedy is rarely used, giving preference to a safe analogue - Hepatrombin G.

A modern local drug, Hepatrombin G, is widely used for the treatment of hemorrhoids.

"Gepatrombin G" is available in two forms:

  • candles (conical, 5 pieces in PVC packaging, usually 2 such packages in a pack);
  • ointment (gel-like, translucent, 20 g in an aluminum tube).

Active ingredients of the drug:

  • heparin – not less than 120 IU/1 suppository and not less than 60 IU/1 g of ointment;
  • lauromacrogol – 30 mg in 1 suppository/1 g ointment;
  • prednisolone – 1.7 mg per suppository and 2.3 mg per 1 g of ointment.

Excipients include lanolin, fatty bases for candles, glyceryl tristearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, etc.

Action of basic substances

Suppositories and ointment for hemorrhoids “Gepatrombin G” have a complex effect:

  • Heparin is the main active ingredient and an effective anticoagulant. Stimulates a reduction in the size of blood clots with subsequent resorption and prevents their formation in nodes. Improves microcirculation in the capillaries of the anal area. Helps restore damaged skin and mucous membranes;
  • lauromacrogol - provides sclerosis of the hemorrhoidal cone (node) by closing the walls. Acts as a quick pain reliever;
  • prednisolone - reduces the size of edema, relieves inflammation, minimizes the manifestation of allergic reactions, removes unpleasant sensations (pain, itching, burning).

The drug Gepatrombin has several varieties intended for the treatment of various diseases

Indications for use of the drug

Correct use of Gepatrombin G ointment stops inflammatory processes in tissues and promotes “self-destruction”

affected veins, prevents the formation of blood clots, and also “dissolves” existing ones.

Conditions that require the use of Gepatrombin G:

Acute or chronic hemorrhoids

Chronic hemorrhoids are a progressive disease. It will not disappear on its own, even if you change your occupation. It manifests itself in the presence of blood impurities in the stool, the formation of round, soft to the touch, protrusions. The size of these protrusions varies from 0.5 centimeters to two. They are formed by swollen veins and filled with blood. When solid feces pass, mechanical trauma to these areas occurs and, as a consequence of this damage, bleeding occurs. Constant loss of blood threatens a person with anemia and anemia. A person may not feel pronounced pain in the anus. But the discomfort that signs of chronic hemorrhoids cause should pay close attention . Treatment should be started immediately, before the disease develops into an acute form.

Acute hemorrhoids cannot be ignored. The symptoms of this painful condition are pronounced. It is impossible to confuse it with anything else.

Inflammation of tissues, thrombosis of blood vessels and prolapse of hemorrhoids lead to extreme discomfort and acute intolerable pain. Bleeding occurs not only during the act of defecation. In the most advanced cases, gradual necrosis (death) of hemorrhoidal tissue occurs. Inflammation can spread to neighboring tissues. Due to swelling in the passage, constipation worsens, which only increases the load on the sore area.

Hemorrhoids without symptoms

"Insidious"

type of disease.
Hemorrhoidal changes are already present, but the patient is not yet aware of their existence . In everyday life, people do not tend to pay much attention to their health, especially to such an intimate place as the anus. But if they had undergone a special examination, the result would have more than surprised and alarmed them.

Sale of the drug and its analogues

"Gepatrombin" and "Gepatrombin G" are dispensed without a doctor's prescription.

Cost of drugs (average):

  • ointment "Gepatrombin G" - from 180 to 200 rubles;
  • “Gepatrombin G” candles – from 190 to 220 rubles;
  • gel “Gepatrombin” (300 IU) – from 155 rubles;
  • gel “Gepatrombin” (500 IU) – from 260 rubles.

Analogues of these drugs are mainly drugs containing heparin and serving as anticoagulants:

  • "Heparil";
  • "Heparin ointment";
  • "Heparin combi" and others.

“Hepatrombin G” is also being replaced by other antihemorrhoidal drugs – “Relief”, “Natalsid”, “Aurobin”, etc. But the prescription must be carried out by the attending physician.

Use for other diseases

Gepatrombin ointment may have indications for use other than hemorrhoids.

A drug that prevents the formation of blood clots in blood vessels, with a strong anti-inflammatory effect, can be used in the treatment of many diseases.

Gepatrombin ointment for varicose veins

Method of use: three times a day, Hepatropin G ointment is applied to the legs with massage movements in the direction from bottom to top. It is recommended to wear special compression garments or an elastic bandage.

Multiple cases of use of this drug have confirmed its high effectiveness in the treatment of varicose veins with hepatrombin ointment for legs . "Dissolving"

thrombotic formations in the veins. Swollen, clogged veins, which no longer effectively perform their important functions, undergo sclerosis. This reduces the external, disfiguring symptoms of varicose veins. The condition of veins located close to the surface of the skin improves significantly.

Gepatrombin ointment for bruises

The product has a powerful thrombosis-absorbing effect . Hematomas are just such a physiological phenomenon. Broken small blood vessels lose blood, which then clots. A local thrombotic formation is formed. The blood cells responsible for the gradual destruction of such pathological foci require a long amount of time to complete their work. Heparin, which is part of the ointment, quickly copes with hematomas, speeding up the healing process by half .

Contraindications

The following contraindications are common to the three drugs:

  • tendency to bleeding, including hemorrhagic diathesis, hemophilia, thrombocytopenia (decreased number of platelets in the blood);
  • viral, bacterial, fungal skin lesions (including tuberculosis, syphilis);
  • skin tumors;
  • open wounds at the treatment site;
  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

The drug Hepatrombin C is also not used for the following pathologies:

  • bronchial asthma;
  • problems in the functioning of the cardiovascular system (severe angina, severe general atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, stroke);
  • liver or kidney failure;
  • lupus erythematosus.

Application and dosage

Gepatrombin G ointment for hemorrhoids is applied over the entire surface that needs treatment . It is necessary to lubricate the external lesions and, immersing the applicator in the anus, inject the drug into the rectum.

External use: the area affected by hemorrhoids must be thoroughly washed and dried. A strip of gel 4 centimeters long is squeezed out. The ointment is applied in a thick layer. The affected surface is covered with the product without rubbing. Insertion into the rectum is made using a special cap. If possible, it is advisable to carefully spread the injected ointment inside the body. Before rectal administration of the drug, it is necessary to have a bowel movement or an enema.

The drug is used, depending on the severity of the disease, from two to four times a day.

Treatment of chronic hemorrhoids

After the signs of existing hemorrhoids have passed, it is necessary to continue using the ointment for another week. This will consolidate the result obtained and act as a prevention against relapse.

Instructions for use

According to the official instructions for use, Gepatrombin G ointment is applied superficially, locally, up to 2 times a day. Liniment is applied in a thin layer, evenly distributed over the problem area. The dosage is determined by the proctologist, based on the nature and severity of the pathogenic process. The anus and rectum areas are pre-cleaned.

External hemorrhoids are treated superficially, the ointment is gently rubbed into the epithelial layer until completely absorbed. Doctors recommend applying the composition towards the central part of the problem area, moving away from the periphery.

It is safer to apply medicinal applications to boils and carbuncles, securing them with a sterile gauze bandage. Shift frequency: up to 2 times a day.

Indications and contraindications

Let us dwell in more detail on such an important aspect as the indications for prescribing a pharmaceutical drug.

What does Gepatrombin G ointment help with:

  • venous thrombophlebitis, localized in the anus;
  • hemorrhoids of internal and external type;
  • thrombosis of blood vessels;
  • varicose vein pathologies;
  • anal fissures;
  • itching and fistulas localized near the anus;
  • trophic ulcerative lesions of the leg;
  • sports tissue damage.

The use of ointments and suppositories is not indicated for all patients, which is important to remember before starting appropriate treatment. Doctors recommend paying attention to restrictions on the prescription of the medication in question.

The medicine is contraindicated in:

  • severe internal and external bleeding;
  • syphilitic diseases and tuberculosis;
  • oncological diseases;
  • viral, bacterial and fungal pathologies localized in the anorectal area;
  • problems with blood clotting, hemophilia;
  • first trimester of pregnancy;
  • hypersensitivity of the body to the ingredients of the composition.

Hepatrombin G is prescribed not only for the treatment of these ailments, but also as a prevention of thrombosis, inflammation of hemorrhoids, and elimination of associated symptoms.

Directions for use and doses

The appropriate method of use and safe doses are prescribed by the doctor, based on the nature of the pathological process, location and degree of damage. It is forbidden to apply the composition to bleeding hemorrhoids, as this may worsen the patient’s condition.

General doctor's recommendations on the use of Gepatrombin G ointment:

  • for the treatment of vein disease, it is recommended to apply ointment (average dosage is 5 cm) up to 3 times a day under sterile dressings;
  • the gel is applied once a day in strips 2 to 3 cm long, evenly distributed over the entire affected area (the surface should remain completely intact, without open wounds);
  • suppositories are inserted into the anus once a day;
  • treatment of trophic ulcers involves applying liniment in rings with a diameter of 3 to 4 cm.

Proctologists emphasize that despite the fact that ointments and suppositories have an antithrombotic effect, applying a large amount of the composition is not recommended. It is safer to administer the medicine in portions. After eliminating the symptoms of the disease, therapy is continued once a day for a week.

Side effects and special instructions

Hepatrombin G is highly tolerated by patients. Side effects are observed in case of drug overdose or violation of the recommended therapeutic regimen.

Possible adverse reactions:

  • allergic manifestations in the form of urticaria, rash, swelling;
  • systemic dysfunctions with prolonged drug therapy;
  • dermatological hyperemia.

Experts emphasize that long-term treatment invariably leads to an adjustment in the blood composition, which can increase the risk of bleeding. When treating mucous membranes, many patients experience a slowdown in regeneration processes. Gepatrombin ointment is prescribed to children only after an individual examination by a doctor.

Pregnancy and lactation

The drug in question is prohibited from being used in the first trimester of pregnancy. During pregnancy, the ingredients of the composition can harm the fetus in the womb, especially at the stage of laying the baby’s organs. Doctors recommend avoiding taking any medications during this crucial period. Therapy can be resumed after childbirth.

It is allowed to use the medication during the 2nd-3rd trimester, provided that the expected benefits of the medication far outweigh the possible risks.

During lactation, the drug is used only as prescribed by a doctor. Otherwise, you must stop breastfeeding.

During pregnancy

Gepatrombin G ointment has proven itself to be excellent during pregnancy. Women in an interesting position often have problems associated with the inability of some organs and tissues to withstand increased stress. An enlarged and heavier uterus puts especially merciless pressure on the organs located below it in location. Venous and arterial blood flow is disrupted to such an extent that blood clots can occur inside the vessels. Congestion in the pelvic area aggravates the situation.

Self-medication with such a potent drug during pregnancy is strictly prohibited. You should not listen to the advice of “experienced” girlfriends and advertising on the Internet and on television. For Gepatrombin ointment, the instructions for use clearly state a ban on use in the first three months of pregnancy. But this does not mean at all that during the remaining periods the ointment can be used uncontrollably. The drug is used strictly only with the permission of a doctor and under his supervision! Ingredients

Dosage: apply the ointment to a clean body twice a day. The duration of use and the use of additional treatments is determined only by a doctor. It is he who will determine the detailed instructions that should be followed during treatment.

It should be remembered that the use of this drug, like many others, is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy . During this period, the formation of all vital organs and systems occurs. The use of such a potent and effective drug should be postponed until a less dangerous period of pregnancy.

Ointment for hemorrhoids during pregnancy (1st-3rd trimester): reviews, application

Hemorrhoids are a fairly common disease caused by varicose veins of the rectum.

As a result, blood begins to stagnate in the pelvis, and the formation of hemorrhoids is observed. Anal fissures may appear as a symptom accompanying the disease.

This is accompanied by itching, burning and pain, especially during bowel movements, which causes significant discomfort to the person.

Among people at increased risk of hemorrhoids, pregnant women are especially likely to develop the disease in the second half of pregnancy. Then the uterus increases in size and puts pressure on the intestines, which contributes to poor circulation in the pelvis.

The whole difficulty of treating hemorrhoids during pregnancy lies in the fact that most drugs, including those intended for external use, are simply contraindicated in such cases.

pharmachologic effect

Often the drug is prescribed for dilation of the vascular wall and loss of tone. The main effects on the disease are:

  • relieving inflammation, swelling;
  • acceleration of tissue and cell regeneration;
  • rapid healing of wounds;
  • preventing the formation of blood clots;
  • fight against pain and burning sensations.

The product has a complex effect, simultaneously eliminating all the unpleasant manifestations of varicose veins and venous insufficiency.

"Procto-Glivenol"

The composition of Procto-Glivenol differs from Hepatrombin. The active ingredients in the drug are lidocaine and tribenoside.

The drug is rapidly absorbed and has a pronounced venotonic, decongestant and angioprotective effect. Among other things, thanks to lidocaine, suppositories effectively relieve pain and eliminate itching.

Procto-Glivenol acts much faster than heparin-based drugs.

The effectiveness of tribenazide is due to the reduction of endothelial venous pores, which makes it possible to strengthen the vascular walls and increase their elasticity. This prevents fluid from escaping into the tissue from the bloodstream.

Such properties make it possible to relieve swelling and normalize the process of blood microcirculation.

Tribenazide also exhibits anti-allergenic and anesthetic activity due to inhibition of the production of certain substances in the body.

An analogue of Hepatrombin G suppositories, Procto-Glivenol, can be used for different types of hemorrhoids, including external and internal. The main difference is that it can be used even during exacerbation of the disease.

Release forms

The product is presented in the form of ointment, gel, tablets and suppositories. What is the difference is very difficult to answer. The main difference between external products is that the ointment can be applied to the entire surface of the lower extremities, while the gel is recommended to be applied only to damaged areas.

The differences between ointment and gel are insignificant, so each patient simply chooses which type is more convenient for him. Hepatrombin gel or ointment is also available in 50,000 IU and 30,000 IU - depending on the concentration of the active substance.

Is it possible to use Gepatrombin G during pregnancy?

Inflammation of hemorrhoidal veins is a fairly common condition among pregnant women. According to statistics, 20 percent of women expecting a child face this problem. Among pregnant women over 30 years of age, every second one knows what hemorrhoids are.

The peculiarities of the functioning of the female body during pregnancy contribute to the occurrence of this disease. Often during this period, women are susceptible to constipation, because they move less.

In addition, the uterus with the growing fetus inside is constantly expanding and puts pressure on almost all internal organs. First of all, those located in the pelvic region, in particular the intestines, as well as blood vessels.

The outflow of blood in them is disrupted, the veins dilate. As a result, thickenings (nodes) appear on the inner walls of the rectum near the anus. The stretching of veins increases as pregnancy progresses. They lose their elasticity and can protrude under the mucous membrane.

It's quite painful. As the disease progresses, hemorrhoids may sag outward from the anus.

Symptoms of hemorrhoids are pain when going to the toilet, itching and severe discomfort in the anus, blood and mucus in the stool. The disease most often manifests itself in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters and after the birth of a child.

Hemorrhoids are treated with medication and surgery. During pregnancy, the choice of medications is limited, because they may be unsafe for the fetus. Meanwhile, gynecologists quite often prescribe Hepatrombin G, which has proven itself to be a safe and effective drug.

There are many positive reviews about its use from women who used this product while expecting a baby and after its birth.

It is prescribed when signs of hemorrhoids are just beginning to appear, and for more acute manifestations of the disease: bleeding, cracking, prolapse and/or pinching of the hemorrhoid.

Indications

Gepatrombin ointment is most often used for inflammation of the veins in the legs, if there are no external injuries. The main root causes that most often serve as a reason to consult a doctor include:

  • the appearance of swelling of the extremities;
  • varicose veins;
  • thrombosis;
  • pregnancy, breastfeeding, hereditary predisposition, excess weight (used even in the absence of symptoms for prevention);
  • bruises, bruises;
  • inflammation of the lymph nodes.

Reviews

I have been suffering from chronic hemorrhoids for a long time. Numerous folk remedies provided relief from this problem for a short period. I’m used to putting up with discomfort in the intimate area. I tried hepatrombin ointment. At first the effect was only anesthetic. I thought that this would be the end of the effectiveness of the drug. But no. Gradually I began to notice that I was paying less and less attention to pain and itching. The bumps stopped falling out of the anus. I used this wonderful product for 2 months. I feel like a healthy person!

Reviews on the use of "Hepatrombin G": suppositories and ointment

Ivan, 55 years old.

I was prescribed Hepatrombin G ointment to treat erosion in the anal area. There was no severe bleeding, but there was constant irritation and itching, and swellings like hemorrhoids began to form.

The drug quickly relieved the pain, and the inflammation began to subside. The treatment cycle took 10 days, after which there were two attempts at relapse, but everything went away in 1-2 days.

Irina, 24 years old.

Hepatrombin G suppositories were prescribed to me after childbirth to get rid of hemorrhoids. I was breastfeeding, so I was looking for the safest option. There were no negative consequences for my son; the use of suppositories did not affect the quantity and quality of milk. The hemorrhoids themselves were completely cured in one course of 7 days, and the pain stopped already on the first day, literally half an hour after administration.
