To prepare the injection, you should dissolve the powder in one or two milliliters of saline solution, water for injection or 0.25-0.5% novocaine. When the components are mixed, the solution is drawn into a syringe, after which an intramuscular injection is given. It is recommended to administer the drug at an average speed; if done quickly, a lump may form.

Prostatilen injections themselves do not cause pain, however, people who have increased skin sensitivity may feel discomfort during manipulation. Therefore, for this category of patients it is recommended to dissolve the medicine in novocaine.

Treatment with Prostatilen injections can be combined with taking antibiotics; the person’s reaction and concentration do not change. Treatment therapy should last from 5 to 10 days. If for any reason one or more days are missed during therapy without using the medication, then the treatment should be extended by the same amount.

Prostatilen suppositories

The medicine has an anti-edematous effect, reduces the number of leukocytes, normalizes the excretion of secretions through the prostate ducts, preventing stagnation. Thanks to the drug, the number of lecithin grains in the secretion of the prostate gland becomes greater, the muscles of the bladder walls and detrusor tone become stronger, and blood circulates better.

The components of the drug are absorbed without residue in the intestines, penetrating into the bloodstream. The substances of the drug are excreted through sweat, urine and bile. Rectal use of the drug has a greater therapeutic effect than other forms.

Therapeutic therapy with Prostatilen suppositories is carried out in courses and lasts from 5 to 10 days. The number of uses during the day can be determined solely by the attending physician. Basically, 2 injections per day are prescribed, with a dosage of the active ingredient of 30 mg, and 1 time per day with 50 mg of the active substance.
