Interaction with other drugs

Vitrum is not recommended to be taken simultaneously with tetracycline antibiotics or fluoroquinolone drugs. The dietary supplement contains calcium and iron, which delay the absorption of antimicrobial drugs and reduce their effectiveness.

A similar effect is observed with the simultaneous intake of ascorbic acid and sulfonamides, iron and antacid preparations based on aluminum, magnesium and calcium.

During treatment with thiazide diuretics, the use of multivitamins increases the risk of increased plasma calcium levels, the development of hypercalcemia and its associated symptoms.

Vitrum drug interactions

Due to the iron and calcium contained in Vitrum vitamins, its simultaneous use with tetracycline antibiotics and a number of antimicrobial drugs (fluoroquinolone derivatives) is not recommended, which is associated with a slower absorption of the latter from the gastrointestinal tract.

Ascorbic acid, which is part of the medication, enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents of the sulfonamide group.

Antacids containing aluminum, magnesium and calcium reduce the absorption of iron.
